Bristol Co-operative Gym is committed to ensuring its safeguarding practices reflect statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with requirements and best practice. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, therefore we have a policy to ensure we provide vulnerable adults and children who receive Bristol Co-operative Gym’s services with appropriate safety and protection. As we don’t currently offer services directly to children ourselves, when working in partnership with other organisations we defer to the organisation’s Safeguarding procedures and policy first and foremost and it is worth noting that we do not currently have a designated Safeguarding Lead, as it is not an environment that regularly provides opportunities to work with children, being an adult gym. However, we do have a Safeguarding policy and it is relevant for vulnerable adults.
