We have some rules in the form of our Code of Conduct and our Terms of Participation (see below). We also have 'best practice' in the form of guidelines surrounding appropriate language. Everyone is expected to abide by these rules.

We have signed rules with Co-operatives UK which lay out how we conduct business at BCG.

At BCG, inclusivity and diversity is paramount and informs the basis of our Mission: “To provide exercise options that are accessible, affordable and adaptive for anybody, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, identity, ability or body shape.” Being an accessible organisation is one of Bristol Co-operative Gym’s founding principles.
We celebrate and value diversity; promote equality of opportunity; advocate that the diversity of the area we exist in is an asset; advocate a culture of tolerance and understanding between different communities from different backgrounds and champion equality and anti-discrimination.
We recognise that certain groups and individuals in society are oppressed and disadvantaged due to discrimination directed against them. BCG aims to remove any barriers, bias or discrimination that prevents individuals or groups from realising their potential and contributing and taking part in the gym, and the community in which they live. BCG aims to develop a culture that positively values diversity.
In addition, we have a Language Guidelines document that we ask everyone to read and apply: Bristol Co-operative Gym Coaches Language guidelines
